BIO

Cary is a professional singer/songwriter/musician/author and former Professor of Music and Chairman of Creative Arts Department at South Plains College. As a member of The Maines Brothers Band, he was inducted into the West Texas Walk Of Fame, has been awarded a Silver Telly Video Award for his work as co-host and featured artist on PBS Series “StoryTellers & Music Makers” . His book , “Almost Like a Professional” was awarded a Kopps Feathering International Book Award. Cary has performed with well- known artists including: Terry Allen and Panhandle Mystery Band, Richie McDonald, Heath Wright. Tom T Hall, Dixie Chicks, Bo Diddley and many others. www.carycbanks.com
