Hilton McLaurin
BIO
I am a third generation family-taught Texas artist. My mother Verna Mae and grandmother “Toots”, were both outstanding artists and passed their skills down to me. I became a full-time artist in 1987, creating digital Scottish and Irish heraldic art using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. The approximately two-thousand digital artworks, they are used for Print On Demand products on several platforms.
In 1997, I began creating landscape paintings with acrylics and oils on canvas. My primary subject is the Great Southwest of the United States. I started these mediums with instruction from William Hook and Albert Handell, from them I learned about the dedication required to be a successful artist.
