All About Alice

A teenage variety band that plays everything from classic rock to classic country and everything in between. The band consists of exceptional teenage musicians ranging from 14-17 years of age. Our most experienced player has been playing for about 10 years and our novice player has been playing for just a few short months. We have started writing original music, mostly are playing covers. The band is called All About Alice because where we first started playing was at an open mic at Krank Koffie Co. in Brownfield Tx, and the place is based off of Alice in Wonderful. So to honor the “Koffie” house we named the band after Alice. Some of the band members had been best friends before but then Kranks is where we met our other members and started first playing. We became a full band in September of 2020.

The band:
Our bassist is 15 year old Dakota Hansen who started in August of 2020. Dakota has learned the bass guitar exceptionally quick and has been able to go from a beginner to intermediate levels in a short period of time. Dakotas musical influences include, Harry Styles, Joan Jett, and Tom petty.
Our drummer is 14 year old Noah Luna who has been playing for about 10 years. Noah is on the varsity tenor drum line for his school and has exceptional talent for his age. Noah’s musical influences and artists include, The Eagles, Vulfpeck, Jacob Collier, Khalid, and Billie Eilish.
Our rhythm guitarist is 15 year old Jack McClanahan who has been playing for about 3 years. Jack is a skilled guitarist, but can also play other stringed instruments including, banjo, 12 string guitar, ukulele, mandolin, lap steel, and more. Jack also does background vocals and occasionally is on lead vocals as well. Jack’s main musical influences are the late great Johnny Cash and bluegrass musicians.
Our lead guitarist is 17 year old Jace Brooks who has been playing for about 2 years. Jace loves collecting guitars and fixing them up. Jaces musical influences are many 80’s rock bands to include, Guns N’ Roses, Metallica, and Iron Maiden.
Lastly our Lead singer is 16 year old Katie Scholl who has been singing since about August of 2020. Katie was in choir since about 4th grade then decided that it was no longer for her, but she still loved to sing. Katie’s musical influences include, Dolly Parton, Joan Jett, and Suzy Boggus.
