Jasmine is a Creative Writer and Spoken Word artist originally from Los Angeles, Ca. She moved to Texas in 2001 after graduating High School to pursue English and Creative Writing at Texas Tech University. With 7 published books including 2 novels, 4 poetry books, and 1 workbook, Jasmine has more recently set her sights on playwriting and documentaries. Her inspiration comes from real-life experiences and the creative ways she’s had to formulate to survive what she believes to be the perils of a society that lacks the desire to embrace anyone different. Jasmine’s life goal is to end poverty in minority communities by way of creative empowerment.
