Creative Kickstarter

What is the Lubbock Creative Kickstarter Fund?
The Lubbock Creative Kickstarter Fund is a program created by the Lubbock Cultural Arts Foundation in partnership with Local LBK who matched the initial first $5,000 raised to total $10,000.

This $10,000 (contributed by artists, performers, creatives and arts patrons) was invested in an interest bearing account to establish a permanent fund which can then continue to grow.

Who will it benefit?
The Lubbock Creative Kickstarter Fund will support all sectors of the arts in Lubbock including visual artists, musicians, performers, writers and filmmakers. By backing local creatives, the fund will strengthen community bonds and reinforce Lubbock’s identity as a city deeply rooted in the arts. Clear guidelines will be established once applications for funds can be accepted and awarded.

When will it be available?
Due to the spirit of endowed funds, awards will be made available once the fund grows to the level that there is enough interest to be awarded as meaningful stipends. These funds are not immediate, they take time to establish, but are more meaningful long term.

How can I help?
Any level of support contributed to the fund will be pooled with the other contributions to help the Lubbock Cultural Arts Foundation continue to grow this important and unique opportunity. Please reach out with questions to our office.
