We are an indie/alternative band based in Lubbock, TX. The core lineup includes Layla Barnes, Matt Hernandez, Michael Lambert, Carlos Rodriguez Jr. and Michael Olivarez, who use Jeune as a vessel to share new ideas and emotions through music. Formed in early 2020 by Matt and Layla, we have added to our line up to form a group of local musicians from various musical backgrounds to feed into a “free style” song writing approach.
Music
When we create our music, we focus heavily on rhythm and emotional impact. Atmospheric guitars, heavy drums and haunting swelling vocals. We’ve been compared to a wide variety of Artists, from Circa Survive to Mazzy Star, to even Radiohead. So it’s best if you take a listen and decide for yourself!
